1955-59 WFL Ludwig 'Super Classic' Model Snare Drum

Up for grabs is a beautiful early 1950s WFL Super Classic snare drum. This Super Classic model features a 3-ply shell, with 8 bowtie lugs and the Super Classic strainer that utilizes extended snares mounted into the base of the strainer. All of the hardware is original nickel over brass with the exception of the throw lever which is chrome. The shell is outfitted with original Oyster Blue Pearl wrap and free of any modifications. There is one very small split in the wrap to the right of the badge (see photo), this blends in well with the oyster pattern. The lever threads into the strainer without problem, however heavy tension and use could result in the lever popping out. The original threads are still good, however the level doesn't thread very deep.
