Up on the block is a beautiful 1960s Ludwig drum kit in the original Oyster Blue Pearl. The kit most likely started as a downbeat 14x20 & 8x12 and had a 16x16 added along the way. Details as follows :
14x20 : (399XXX) : 1966
The bass drum is in very nice condition with original hardware, including a consolette rail mount, folding spurs and 8 lugs / rods per side. The drum has original interior white paint with a 1965 date stamp. The wrap is all original blue oyster, including the inlay! Each hoop has roughly 1" of inlay missing (hidden by claws). The hoops also sport the original black paint and the drum is equipped with the original heads.
16x16 : (564XXX) : 1968
The floor tom is in very nice condition with strong wrap and original white interior with a 1968 date stamp. This drum was most likely added at some point. Outstanding condition with minimal pitting / wear to hardware. Batter side original head, however it is stretched and worn.
8x12 : (339XXX) : 1966
The rack tom is in great condition with no structural or cosmetic issues. Original Oyster Blue Pearl wrap, original white painted interiors and all original hardware. Batter side original head, however it is stretched and worn.
