Leedy introduced a revolutionary design in the 1930s known as the 'Broadway' model snare drum. This was a heavily engineered strainer system that retained tension on the snare strands when they were both engaged and disengaged. The drum features the Black Elite finish, Knobby Gold hardware with a very rare Thunderbird engraving across the entire heavy brass shell.
