Here is a very cool 1946 Ludwig 'Standard Model' Snare Drum fitted with mojo-aged nickel hardware over a beautiful Black Diamond Pearl wrap. These drums are among some of the best sounding snares as the drum features a solid shell with reinforcement rings, heavy duty imperial lugs and die-cast hoops. The drum is in good (aged) functional condition - the shell is free of any modifications, cracks or issues with the wrap. The bearing edges remain true to how they left the factory. The hardware is original to the drum and has been cleaned, leaving an aged nickel look that is great against the Black Diamond wrap. The strainer functions properly and all of the tension rods are smooth. The muffler knob was replaced with a machined knurled knob which will hold the muffler in place however will strip when attempting to adjust without providing some pressure to the inside of the muffler (head off) for adjustments. New snare strand, this puppy is ready to rawk!
