Here is an outstanding 1947 Ludwig & Ludwig Standard model snare drum in the beautiful original White Marine Pearl wrap. The drum is outfitted with original nickel hardware and the correct 3-position strainer. These drums are arguably some of the best sounding wood snares ever built. The shells feature a solid single ply reinforced with internal rings. The bearing edges are fat and white which gives the drum an extra dark and round tone. The imperial lugs are timeless and built like tanks. The drum has vintage replacement tension rods on the bottom of the drum while the top contains all original rods. Overall, this is a great drum for the collector and player alike.
