This is a very rare 1940s + Slingerland Radio King model snare drum that is suspect of being an uncatalogued Ray McKinley model. The drum features 16 split streamline beavertail lugs along with 3 point strainer and single batter side wood hoop with matching inlay. The interior of the drum is penciled “One Wood Hoop” notating the direction of manufacturing in the factory. This is often seen on the interior of these era Slingerland shells to notated the intention of further fabrication in the factory. The drum is in phenomenal condition featuring all original hardware and nearly unfaded original White Marine Pearl wrap. The drum has 8 small clips, original metal strap snares and era correct calf slunk heads both on the resonant and batter sides.
