Here is a beautiful early 1960s Ludwig Downbeat model snare drum in the original Black Diamond Pearl finish. The drum is in excellent condition with no modifications. The shell is beautiful, featuring the original interior white paint, black diamond pearl wrap (which tucks into the scarf joint) and is free of any lifting of at the seam or cracks. The drum sports all original nickel plated hardware, including brass hoops and 16 tension rods. The snare strands are newer production and the knob adjustment on the P80 strainer is chrome.
