1962 Gretsch Progressive Tangerine Sparkle Outfit : 20- 12 - 14 - 14 - 16

1962 Gretsch Progressive Jazz outfit in the original Tangerine Sparkle. This kit started as a catalogued Progressive Jazz outfit consisting of a 14x20 bass drum, 14x14 floor tom, 8x12 mounted tom and an opted 5.5x14 Name Band snare instead of the listed 4x14 Progressive Jazz snare drum. The matching 16x16 floor tom was added to the kit later in its life. 

The Tangerine Sparkle finish was first introduced in the 1963 catalog (Gretsch didn’t issue a 1962 catalog; serial numbers point to 1962 as production year for these drums) and was last catalogued during the Round Badge era in the 1966. The finish was later reintroduced during the ‘Stop Sign’ badge era in 1971. The Tangerine wrap across all of the drums is very vibrant and unfaded. The kit is equipped with factory original silver sealed interiors, interior paper tags, and all original chrome plated hardware.
