Early 1930s Ludwig 'Super Sensitive' Nickel over Brass snare drum. As pulled from the 1930s catalog, "Two Sets of Snares - an inner set for sensitive response and easier playing. Outer set of snares against the snare head. Individual Snare Control. Responds to a touch of sticks. Two sets of snares that operate independently or together."

All of the hardware on this drum is original down to the snare tension rods, clips and snare strands on both the resonant and batter sides. The drum features all original nickel plated parts that are in outstanding condition.. and yes, this is nickel! Aside from a few typical scratches and minor dings, the drum is in collector quality as it is among the best survivors from this era. In addition, the drum is equipped with Kentville kangaroo hide heads, making this drum completely playable as well!
