Ludwig 1929 'Super Sensitive' model snare drum in the stunning Mahogany & Decorative Inlay finish. One of three new models released in 1929, the Super Sensitive featured an internal set of snares mounted under the batter head in addition to a 'Sensitive' extended strainer system on the resonant side. The Mahogany & Decorative Inlay finish was illustrated on only bass drums in the 1930s catalogues, however has been seen on many snares from the same era. This faux inlay finish is typically seen worn from years of abrasions to the shell however this particular example is truly in exceptional condition. The drum is outfitted with all chrome plated hardware including 10 tube lugs, brass clips and tension rods, single flanged hoops, and a batter and resonant side snare systems.
