Available for sale is an outstanding 1930-32 Ludwig 'Separate Tension' Model snare drum in the beautiful Peacock Pearl (Version II) wrap. This drum is in collector condition with all original chrome over brass hardware including 10 tube lugs, all correct tension rods and chrome over brass clips, single flanged hoops (Ludwig stamped batter side logo), Snappy snare strand, correct butt plate and Professional model strainer. The interior of the shell is original factory white paint in great condition with a previous owner's penciled name and markings. Like many of these solid shell snares from the 20s, the reinforcement rings often shrink, resulting in separation at the shell and ring. On the resonant side, one of these separations has been fill with wood filler to reinforce the shell and clean up the gap, as the shell was maintaining roundness. The wrap is outstanding with next to zero fade and no cracks or issues. Truly a fantastic drum.
